I'm thinking of keeping some of my waiver wire wonders

Colston - pretty much a shoe in
Palmer - will he get back to topflight QB status?

Joey Porter - can he keep getting all them sacks?
Ed Reed - how awesome is Ed Reed? but he is pretty old
Newman???

Then I have Turner and Forte (2nd and 5th round) that would give me an elite backfield + 1st 3rd and 4th round picks

also think Marshall is good value for round 4, but not as much as Colston for round 26 or whatever it will be

At the moment I'm
Turner, Forte, Colston + Reed but it could all change

no brainer for my keepers really.

Sjack, FelixJ, Steve Smith and the big DWare

though i believe that is my 1st 2nd and possibly 3rd picks gone...

assuming the 2 running backs stay fit that a brutal offence.

mate before he got injured he was hitting 100+ yards a game plus a TD and dont forget his special teas duties. he was getting me 16+ points a week. Also with barber being a bit of a beast he will always pick up knocks where a fully fit felix would get a lot of carries.

Yep I think it would be good to offer a few franchises to tender. See if anyone is interested in taking one over and if the current owners have any objections....

Roxley's division was a bit of a joke for most of the season and you could make a case for all those teams to go to new owners...

I'm not sure trading for draft picks is on, essentially because you get something for nothing
I.E. if you didn't trade them (assuming not one of your 4 keepers) you would have to put them back into the draft pool.

Now if you traded a Keeper pick for someone else's draft picks then fair enough.

How does the trading for draft picks work. I don't get it. Whose pick goes to who? And what if one of them was off the waiver wire?

Basically the way i see it working is like this... if i were to trade you Michael Turner

I would be able to do so by using up one of my keepers on him and foregoing my second round pick.

In return you could give me your first round pick (as long as you have not retained your first round draft pick from last year), or if i wanted your first round pick from last year you could use a keeper on him then trade him to me, and we could exchange picks or whatever....

You can also swap picks for other picks if you want - like my first rounder for your second and third...

I guess the only stipulation I would have is that if a player is being traded you must have used a keeper selection to own him, and you can't trade the option to keep someone

I.E. I couldn't keep MT, MF, MC and ER and then send Carson Palmer to Will for his 5th round pick so that he could use a keeper on Palmer

Any waiver aquisition who gets kept costs you your last round choice

Hope this answers any Qs

So if I picked Randy Moss in the first round last year and use a keeper on him, I lose my first round draft pick this year - right?

I got Kurt Warner in round 7? What a steal. And if that's right and I keep Moss and Johnson, that's my first 2 picks gone. I hope Tom Brady is fit again next year.

yep - that's right - although i'd be carefull with Warner as he may retire - but for a 7th round pick i guess it doesn't matter too much...

Yep - that's right there are some people who make Matt Millen look like he was doing a standup job....

I'm going to see who wants to stay and kick a few people out.... as for letting you in we will have to see who else wants in, same preference system as last time but i reckon you'll be ok

So who's got Jay Cutler?

I just found out I have Kyle Orton already on my roster. I think he just became a keeper for next year. :D

Orton, Warner, Moss and Thomas Davis. Playoffs here I come.

Does the league need to be reactivated for this year?
