this would have nothing to do with you being 0-3 obviously...

Jared Allen comes up big with a 37 point performance to grab victory from the claws of defeat for the cardiac kids!

i still think defensive points should be lowered..maybe to 4 points a pick/sack..6 is just crazy..im not saying this cos i lost..because i didnt..i owned the gm treen even though patrick willis had a plus 30 point day and winfied had plus 20....look at dan eyles blasting everyone so far!

although I agree (I would be in favour of 2 per sack, 3 pre int/FR (they don't put points on the scoreboard after all) and less D players possibly)

I would say it's a next year thing, as people have picked their teams on this year's rules, to change it now would be cheating the leaders (i.e. me!)

I thought the whole point of the points scoring was that for every position, having a good game equated to roughly the same no of points ie a reciever gets 2 touchdowns and 100 yards they get about the same as a DE who gets 3 sacks and 2 tackles fro loss or whatever. You can't compare a good game between a WR and a DE in terms of points scored.

I appreciate what you're saying about not putting points on the board so therefore less important and worth less points but I think having much more varied scores from D players each week makes it more interesting. Means good performances by DL for example, who don't typically get pick 6s can still be a worthy addition to a fantasy team if they rack up sacks.

I think in the long run the D points work out about right. - look at the end of year stats and a top LB/DE type will average around 12 pts which will be less than a WR RB or QB

Also at the end of the year the people who everyone thought was a good D player end up top of the lists - Maybe it's a bit sack happy but that's the NFL right? let's pay dwight freeney a shit load of money even though he can't defend the run for shit....

Last year I had Ronnie Brown turn in a 48 pt game from RB with the trad. scoring system so expect D players to contribute these same sort of numbers time to time

Big Pat threw in a 2.5 sack pick 6 performance along with his usual racking up the tackles - next week he'll prob score 4pts - as Tim said makes it more interesting...

Mike Sims-Walker out due to "breaking team rules"

TIT!

well, mr Sims-Walker got 55 points in 3 weeks, and was essentially the Jags' offence. Seeing as I'm also playing the cube and kicker, he's kinda bum raped me big style...

still not sure how you lose 41-0 to Seattle though. Pretty sure I'd do better than that on my own...

I'm starting to suck real bad at this despite actually trying this year - bugger. Although I feel unlucky this week as I was a couple of defensive players short due to bye weeks, and the decision to play Faulk over Tim Hightower lost me the 5 points that would've given me the win. You can't legislate for Roddy White getting 40 points against a supposedly good d!!

I guess it's 11-5 for me this year.

Btw - how do the waivers work? I tried to sign a couple of players but they're not showing on my team. I assume I must be pretty high on the dibs list as I suck so bad at this?
