Could we do an off-line draft this year? Shouldn't be too hard to do it on this forum if we work out where everyone's keepers would be going. That way everyone would be able to pick their team and also mock everyone elses choice, which is essential in any good fantasy league.

sounds look like plan - get something sorted your side of the planet and then we can figure out everyone who can't make it in person will take part...

You don't have to do it all at once, if you do it offline. As long as the draft is finished by the start of the season you can take as long as you like. So whoever's first could pick now, then second pick could pick tomorrow etc... until september

I think I'll sacrafice my spot after my dismall attendance last season, I can't see it improving this year so you may as well give the spot to someone else.

OK - anyone want to volunteer to keep a track of the draft picks in some kind of spreadsheet or something - what with managing a banks debt in the midst of the GFC I am a little busy.

I reckon if we kick off around the begining of July we should get it all sorted.

I'll send out something through the league to get everyone to select their keepers by then - and figure out what draft spots they loose. - Remember Max 3 offense and loose the round you got them from.

Cropper send me your email address and i'll put you in for Vardy's team

I think we also need a mechanism to let people use some kind of draftlist to automate their picking if they would like to - so will see if we can use any of the site features to help with that....

Anyone know anyone else who might be interested in taking part?

i'd quite like to be involved. I don't mind taking a more active role with organising it too.

one way of doing an offline draft is through the medium of email (or on here).

we make a draft order and everyone gets 24 hours to pick their player and send an email out naming their player. if they run out of time, the highest rated player remaining is selected on their behalf.

I'm going mad.

How on earth do you know what round pick it will cost you to keep a player? Where does it say when you picked them up?

I've got 4 players that I fancy keeping, but I have no idea what it will cost me, and so I don't really fancy it.

no it will cost you the edwards rounds. it would be similar to when a team trades picks instead of players.
