Alright all. Just found this website so thought I'd see who was about from the golden old days when we could barely win a game but knew how to drink....

Out of interest, where's my bloody helmet!? I think I lent it to the team the year I left, in 2003, 'for one training session until the new ones arrive'.

Never did bloody get it back!

any helmets from 5 years got are either out of service or just plain dangerous...

If it's pre 2003 you played then the guys around from those days who check this forum reasonably regularly are Jake, Cheeks, Rosie, Geordie and Dan Eyles.

Also, if you are interested we always want as many Old Boys as possible to come to the Old Boys event (game, dinner and Pop Tarts) which is at the end of the season (Aprilish). We've had more and more every season so keep checking on here (i start to organise it in Jan/Feb time) if you're interested!

I would guess that it is Matt "Dirty Essex Boy" Glass.

He was a Sabre from back in the day, however he did prefer to touch up other men under the guise of "playing water polo".

He doesn't deserve to get his helmet back!

It is indeed Matt Dirty Essex Boy Glass. My legend lives on.

My decision was more based on the fact that I was fucking shit at American Football. Good laughs were had all round though.

I quite fancy old boys this year if I'm around when it's on. Might nick myself a fucking helmet while I'm there!
