Just thought i'd let you guys know I'm feeling a lot battered and bruised after my first competitive game in about 5 years as the Bondi Raiders crushed the Wollongong Mustangs 52-6
... it suffices to say that I was indeed awesome...

Well that goes without saying. What position were you playing?

As it happens Gav I am the 3rd choice long snapper... but am also the starting Strong Safety (having lost just over 5kg in preseason training I am now down to a svelt 86 and can run again...)

we've got the Sutherland Seahawks this weekend who boast the Team Australia QB so could be a slightly different proposition

..also for anyone concerned with the accuracy of this forum we played the West Sydney Pirates and not the Sutherland Seahawks - The team Oz QB thing still stands was just a little confused...

Obviously no picks, but 3 batdowns does not sound like Treen coverage??

What happened to timing the hit? Or have you turned into some sort of antipodean faggot who goes for the ball instead of the man

Fear ye not cheeks I also recieved a pass interference call for decapitating some guy when he thought running a post into my zone was a good idea,

2 of the bat downs came early in the game where i over anticipated and got there a bit too early for the hit and had to go for the ball - sometimes my pace and quickness suprise even me....

I'm still working on them letting me blitz.... not quite as accomodating as Eyles Dan on this one though....

Cheeks' abuse about you not taking the man has obviously made an irreparable impact.

It seems that with age I have matured into a different kind of player as evidenced by breaking infront of a WR running a post and snapping up the pick only to get humbled by being tackled by a QB....

Raiders 26 Outlaws 24 - and that's Bondi Vs Penrith not Newcastle Vs Nottingham - how unoriginal are team names?????
